NALI2022 Registration details

The objectives of this competition are:

  • To recognize NALI research and innovation products in teaching and learning through exhibition and competition
  • To be the platform for sharing of research and innovation products in teaching and learning
  • To improve educators competency in practicing teaching and learning in the 21st Century through NALI talk series and workshops,
  • To improve STEM awareness among educators in practicing NALI

Exhibition and Competition Details

  1. The NALI 2022 Exhibition & Competition is open to all educators.
  2. Participants may choose to enter in one of the following:
    • Individual
    • Group Participation (up to 6 members per group). Members can come from schools / universities / students / industry.
  3. The deadline for submission is 15th September 2022.
  4. Participants are allowed to submit more than one submission. If more than one submission from one participant is accepted, the participant must pay for each submission.
  5. The organizer reserves the right to reject submissions that do not fulfill the above-mentioned criteria.
  6. Each participant will receive an e-certificate as proof of participation. Gold medalists will receive hard copy certificate, to be sent after the event.
  1. For NALI 2022 Exhibition & Competition, each exhibitor is required to prepare the followings for evaluation:
    • Poster (Softcopy – Submited by 15 September 2022)
    • Poster
    • Presentation video
  2. The Poster size is A1 using powerpoint (one slide only). Please download and use the template provided HERE. Saved as JPEG format. It should include the followings :
    • Project Objectives
    • Innovativeness (Changes/Improvement)
    • Impact to Students’ Learning (Engagement and Empowering)
  3. Please ensure that your poster is clear and readable when uploaded online (FB). Please avoid putting too many words.
  4. The presentation video is 5 minutes long, and should be uploaded to your own YouTube channel. Please set the visibility setting of the video as “public”. The presentation should include:
    • Project Objective(s)
    • Novelty (New Ideas)
    • Creativity (Design Ideas)
    • Innovativeness (Changes/Improvement)
    • Applicability (Relevant to New Academia Learning Innovation Model)
    • Impact to students’ learning (Engagement and empowering)
    • Commercialization potential
  5. Please also kindly ensure that the video is free from any copyright issue.
  6. The video should describe the submitted project, and it may be presented in the following formats:
    • Talking head + Powerpoint presentation
    • Narrated Powerpoint presentation
    • Screen casting
    • Explanation/Demonstration
    • Mini Documentary
  7. Exhibitors are required to provide a brief description on your project (maximum 35 words) upon submitting your poster. Example: “This innovation highlights how experiential learning, by exposing students to using an actual software (Audit Express) used in professional audit practice, would enhance their understanding and improve acquired skills to perform audit.”
  8. Both the poster and URL of the YouTube video must be submitted by 15 September 2022.
  9. Each submission will be showcased in NALI 2022 facebook page.
  1. For NALI 2022 Exhibition and Competition, each participant is required to prepare an extended abstract.
  2. The format of extended abstract is as follows:
    • Maximum 3 pages in length, including References and Acknowledgement.
    • Written in English / Malay.

  4. The extended abstract must be submitted during registration.

    • Impacts to Students’ Learning (Engagement and Empowering)
    • Video Presentation
    • Poster

Guidelines for NALI 2022 Exhibition and Competition

Price for the additional medal:

NALI Exhibition & Competition : RM70 (Self-pickup)

Micro-credential competition : RM80 (Self-pickup)

*Additional RM15 will be charged for postage
