Moodle is an open source learning management system (LMS) widely used by educators around the world. With moodle it is easy to create a dynamic course website or to create effective online learning communities. Moodle is very popular among learning istitutions because it is designed based on a sound pedagogical principle that encourages students to construct knowledge by sharing, collaboration and discussions.
This short course is open to participants from institution of higher learning, schools, or companies who want to implement e-learning to supplement the conventional teaching modes or to develop totally online training programmes. This course is offered in two modules, the first module (Instructor Module) is meant for teachers and lecturers who what to learn how to use the software to create their course website, upload their teaching materials and to engage their students with online learning activities. The second module (Administrator Module) is meant for system administrators who want to install and manage moodle software on their own servers.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND
The Instructor Module is designed for teachers of lecturers who wish to learn the basics of moodle and to acquire the skills on how to effectively use moodle to supplement their teaching or to conduct online courses. The Administrator Module is designed for system administrators who want to install and manage the system on their own server. It also teaches participants on how to manage moodle courses and users and to optimize the server’s resources for small as well as large scale installations.
