Mini Talk Series #2 – People Management in Industry is a continuation of series one, which aims to gather information and experience from panelists with regard to people management in the industry or corporate sector. Our panelist are Ln. Ts. Mohd Khairul Azizat Johari, Facility Manager from Johor Port Berhad; Nur Hafidz Azharudin, Project Manager from PETRONAS Technical Services Sdn Bhd, and Mohd Akram Ibrahim, Head of Downstream Work Process from PETRONAS Downstream Corporate Office. Panelists were given a few questions from moderator, Dr. Nurul Aini and they need to give their sharing accordingly. The questions given to all panelists revolved around their achievements and experience during being a leader in their respective fields. It covers roles and responsibilities, before and during being a leader, challenges and obstacles to achieve goals and annual performance indexes, methods of motivating subordinates and others. The panelist was also asked to share their experiences related to dealing with subordinate employees who refused to perform assigned tasks. From this sharing session, it is hoped to inspire the listeners on the best way to manage people,regardless field of occupation, and at the same time, maintaining the humanity attributes among a leader.
