A special virtual gathering with the Vice Chancellor took place on the 2nd of August 2021, where 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳. 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗸 𝗧𝘀 𝗗𝗿 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗙𝗮𝘂𝘇𝗶 𝗜𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗹 officiated the ACCER 2021 and GEMS 2021. ACCER 2021, which now in its second year, is aimed to expose the academic leadership to young lecturers, while GEMS 2021 which is a new program, is a continuation program from ACCER 2020, that is designed to produce young leaders who have a balanced Emotional Intelligence (EQ), Spiritual Intelligence (SQ), Adversity Quotient (AQ), and UTM DNA that celebrates core values University leadership at the end of the programme.

Our VC emphasised on the Goal Setting as well the Path to Breakthrough from the Orange Revolution. Some of the key take-aways are, leadership is about integrity, where one must be being humble as a person, and should be accountable of one action. Once we are given a responsibility, it is an amanah to us. So we must do our best to deliver. It is always about teamwork (esprit de corps), never solo. Among other things, the VS also emphasised on the power of du’a/prayers, as everything is from Him alone.
