Introduction
Sustainable development goals are world benchmark to determine the well -being and balance of political, economic, social and cultural. Countries around the world are working towards achieving the SDGs in all sectors. To achieve the SDGs, leadership at both the national and organizational levels would have to adopt leadership styles that engender a sense of shared responsibility toward the attainment of the Goals. At UTM, efforts are being made to strengthen the SDGs, including preparing talents who are visionary, agile and resilience.

Objectives
GEMS aims to further instill the cohesive balance of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) and Spiritual Intelligence (SQ) among selected young academics (below 40 years old) from the ACCER program by exposing them to Sustainable Development Goals initiatives and skills acquired.
It includes mixture of communication skills, emotional maturity, leadership ability, inner strength and the ability to attain transformational leadership style with UTM DNA embedded. This talent development is important as UTM progress to become one of the best and sustainable university in the world.

From ACCER to GEMs
GEMS was born from the ACCER program to produce young leaders who have a holistic balance in Emotional Intelligence and Spiritual Intelligence that supports the DNA of UTM. GEMS will further highlights the leadership talents of these young leaders by absorbing and instilling sustainable leadership skills among them.
This will be polished through collaboration with Malaysia top SDG leaders selected by UTM. These leadership figures have demonstrated the ability and authority in leading various organizations holistically and sustainably.
