About SMU

The Strategic Management Unit (SMU) is responsible for formulating policies and guidelines related to teaching and learning (T&L) at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, as well as coordinating 21st-century learning methods through the UTM Future-Ready Educators (UTM FREE) Program. This unit also provides guidance on best practices in T&L through talent development programs at the university level. It manages the monitoring and reporting for the Action Plan assigned to UTM CDex. Additionally, SMU is responsible for the administrative management of the office, human resource management, and financial management at UTM CDex. To carry out its roles and responsibilities, the unit is led by a Deputy Director and supported by one (1) Assistant Registrar, one (1) Senior Administrative Assistant, two (2) Administrative Assistants, and two (2) Operations Assistants.
